PILATES SUSPENSION METHOD COURSES

The Pilates Suspension Method

The Pilates Difference is the official Instructor Trainer, Training Provider in South Africa and Africa for the Pilates Suspension Method. We offer both live in-person courses (in all locations), as well as live online courses.

What is the Pilates Suspension Method?

The Pilates Suspension Method (PSM) combines traditional and contemporary mat Pilates and equipment-based Pilates exercises and performs them on any type of suspension apparatus (i.e a TRX trainer or similar).  Each PSM exercise is Pilates rooted and is also done in many of the traditional Pilates series.  The PSM is designed to teach in a group or one-on-one setting. You do not need a Pilates certification to complete one of our courses – it is open to any fitness or mindful movement practitioners.

This is a 3-day Pilates Suspension Method Course that covers over 250 Pilates rooted exercises on a suspension trainer in order to become a certified PSM Instructor.

Day 1 and 2 are the Foundations Module
They are each 6.5 ours long covering approximately 150 exercises.

Day 3 is 2.0 Course (6.5 hours)
The courses can be taken independently or all together to get the full certification.

This 3-day course is taught by Advanced PSM Instructor Trainer Colleen Tomlinson. The 3-day course is approved for 19 National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP) CECs. This course is suitable for fitness instructors and enthusiasts and NO prior Pilates experience is required to attend, but it is an excellent addition to a qualified Pilates Instructor’s teaching repertoire and skills.

Course Times: Friday 11h30 – 18h00
Saturday: 10h30 –  17h00
Sunday: 08h30 – 15h00
